How the calculator works
- Bonus amount. Your deposit times the match percentage, limited by the maximum bonus if there is one.
- Amount subject to wagering. Some casinos apply the wagering multiple to the bonus only, others to the deposit plus the bonus. Pick the one in the terms.
- Total turnover. The wagering base multiplied by the wagering multiple, then divided by the game contribution. If a game counts for 50%, you have to bet twice as much.
- Expected cost. Turnover multiplied by the game's house edge. This is the average amount you should expect to lose while clearing the bonus.
- Expected value. The bonus minus the expected cost. A positive number means the terms favour you on average, a negative number means clearing the bonus costs more than it gives.
Reading the result
The expected value is an average across many bets, not a prediction for one session. Short-term results swing widely around it, and it ignores rules such as maximum bet, expiry and withdrawal caps.
Typical house edges
These are illustrative and vary by game and provider: slots often sit around 3-6%, blackjack around 1% with good strategy, dice around 1% and European roulette 2.7%. Check the rules of the game you plan to play.
