Rakeback lowers what playing costs on average. It does not remove the house edge, so you should still expect to lose slightly less than without it, not to win.

How the calculator works

Rakeback returns a share of the house edge on your bets. This calculator uses the most common definition:

Rakeback earned = total wagered × house edge × rakeback rate

  • Effective house edge is the house edge after rakeback: edge × (1 − rate).
  • Expected loss before rakeback is total wagered × house edge.
  • Expected loss after rakeback is that figure minus what you earn back.

Casinos define rates differently

Some sites apply the percentage to the house edge, as here. Others apply it to your losses or to a fixed share of the wager, and many raise the rate as you move up VIP tiers. Treat the table of casinos as a guide and check the exact definition in each casino's terms.

What rakeback does not do

Rakeback lowers the cost of playing but does not remove the house edge. Over time you still expect to lose slightly less than without it, not to win.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is rakeback?+

Rakeback pays a percentage of the house edge on your bets back to you, whether you win or lose. It is usually credited as a balance you can claim daily, weekly or monthly.

How is rakeback different from cashback?+

Rakeback depends on how much you wager, while cashback usually depends on your net losses over a period, so you are only paid when you lose.

Which house edge should I enter?+

Use the edge of the game you play most. Slots often sit around 3-6%, blackjack around 1% and dice around 1%. The exact figure is usually shown in the game rules.
